Job Description:
; Ages of children: 2-5 years; An award winning nursery in Horsham are seeking a Pedagogical Coordinator to join their team. This Outstanding nursery is Reggio Emilia approach and has a well establish forest school. It is an 80 place setting and this position would be working 40 hours a week. Role responsibilities include: - Documenting the child's thinking and learning processes through est practice of 'Enquiry Based Learning Approach'. - Following all policies and procedures to ensure compliant, quality management of children’s well-being and development. - Motivate other members of the team and report their own development of teaching and learning strategies - this includes completing performance reviews - Evidence of the requirements of the seven learning and development areas of the EYFS being met within the range of activities/enquiry sessions, environment and resources available to children. - Initiated learning through reading/researching best practises and relevant materials. Evidence of sharing those with section educators. - Show initiative in contributing ideas and helping to organise ways to involve parent’s in children’s learning and development and /or projects wherever possible. The parents must feel well informed of their child's development and parents support the nursery's approach and culture for learning and development and those needing additional support are identified and given it by the Pedagogical Coordinator. Role requirements: - You must be an effective early years educator with proven strategies for enabling children's learning and development - Excellent communication skills and able to effectively lead a team of people, teach, train and develop their teaching skills. - The ability to deal with changes in circumstances and emerging priorities day to day, whilst ensuring her responsibilities for leading quality teaching and learning across the team are maintained and time managed effectively. - Expert knowledge and experience of child development, the nursery's values and the Reggio Emilia Approach with specific knowledge and understanding of implementing a listening pedagogy, Enquiry-Based Learning Approach and the EYFS. - Confident and competent at dealing with parents and providing an excellent experience for them with specific regard to their children’s learning and development.
